- 10 player round robin Round 1 – Thursday, at 4:00 PM Rounds 2 and 3– Friday, at: 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Rounds 4 and 5 – Saturday, at: 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Rounds 6 and 7– Sunday, at: 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Rounds 8 and 9 - Monday, at: 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM
FIDE rated blitz round robin at 10:00 AM Thursday to determine tiebreak order. Tournament will be a 10 player round robin event consisting of the top 8 players age 16 and under by rating, plus the winner of the previous year’s Barber Tournament, plus one wild card to be selected by the organizers. Prizes will include a four year scholarship to UMBC, if qualified, to first place on tiebreaks. All ties will be considered first place and will receive a plaque. Drawing of lots will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 17th as a part of the opening ceremonies. To make tax deductible contributions to the event, please contact the organizer.
